"Surely you do not mean I,Lord... ....then Judas got up and left...."

The eternal theme of feigned loyalty, unlawful appropriation, suspicion and betrayal. From poorly remembered accounts written by St. John no earlier than A.D. 90 we have an unknown number of people who have collectively been known as John. We see not Jesus's words "Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you" in John's account. Perhaps, was it not Simon of Cyrene of the Synagogue of Freedmen (Acts) who betrayed Jesus and Stephen onto death out of seigneurial contempt  for the Gospel of Human Kindness and Charity and Anti-Clericalism...

We see in Jesus's rise, miracles and life-saving wonders,a good man and Teacher who represents what the author of Nazi barbarism and Anti-Catholic nonsense in the 1860's mockingly scribbled was The Ascent of Man. Alternatively, the black comedy of the 1970's had it as The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin,a skit by apostates. That was directed at Jews and Christians alike by the British Broadcasting Corporation. The BBC's controllers and British liberals represented the ultimate "foul and ennervating" bourgeois socialists,Warwicks i.e. kingmakers as Malachy Mc Roe remarked. ( He mouthed threats and,in association with the homosexual pervert Michael Mc Govern of the FBI/Gardai,initiated hellish nuisance street crawling like all critics of the labour movement and agnosticism).

 Betrayal?

What can someone like me say about surveillance except to repeat after Rachel Mitchell, someone caught between the devil and the deep blue sea in 1991 in Dublin," It is all local".

Words for police and Gardai detectives and their FCA Lehrlingen such as"tails" and "dogs" spring to mind.

Treachery is part of the bitter legacy of a semi-colonial anachronism of a country which lives on its fading charm and handful of achievements, now consigned to a receding past.

Anyone who is any good in Ireland gets shot down by the police, churchgoers, sportsmen and Sinn Fein.
