"Everyone's friend and none". The London Irish publicans

 Why so?

He fills people's bellies full of poison and then he fills their head full of nationalist nonsense before he sends them on their way with kicks and blows to howls of derision from their drinking buddies. Only the Englishman stands up to this Irish country exploiter and traitor. That is something people who go to London public houses cannot see because alcohol befuddles their minds.

Drink?  Its role in the life of Irish emigrants?

Drink more, work harder, march further to pay for the London-Irish publican's wife expensive tastes in London high-end stores and elsewhere.

Proper political and trade union affairs can never be transacted successfully in a public house or church premises. There must be a neutral venue where all feel free to enter and admission is free with certain restrictions for noisy nuisances such as socialists and difficult, maladroit people such as myself. By the latter,I mean philosophers, doctors, lawyers, professional people, nurses, students and members of the intellectual elite.

In public houses all of the categories of rat-faced bast.... who carry knuckledusters and cutthroat razors (despite indications to the contrary) rarely shut up for more than ten seconds when they're amongst similar-minded  people.

Alcohol,the general rule,then?

Anyone who introduces you to alcoholic beverages for the first time, brings you into a public house for anything other than recreation or who offers you an unsolicited drink of alcohol or other beverage, even tea,in an Irish-run public house intends to either beat you up,or to get someone they know is a thug,to beat you up when they have taken your money for piss-water beer that costs only 0.5 pence to brew. The balance is profit for the publican and the interested party gets remuneration in some form or other in this deadly triangle. More importantly for the publican,a way of defraying a publican's tax bill. They have extensive property holdings and other assets, financial and mobile,in their wife's name.

All church organisations of any worth to society teach abstinence and temperance. It is when you are leaving non-trade union licensed premises that a crowd might jump on you or a soldier step forward to beat you up. Unknown to you,he is your real employer in whatever pursuit or occupation you are engaged in.

Why?

You have refused to accept alcohol or a teenage pre-pubescent virgin's favours as "payment for services rendered". He "is determined to give you the brush-off or bum's rush" by knocking your teeth in. Remember, pilgrims, prison bars and hospital walls are no barrier to having an employer be you prince or pauper.

.....

A note of caution concerning festivals, public or religious, therefore.

It is a publican or barman or someone else in the alcohol-dispensing business who has someone "duffed up". The expression is very apt since anyone called Duffy or Duff or Duffin is a thug and a hooligan. The same goes for a Protestant madame with a parent of that name.

....

My advice to late-night revellers

STAY OUT OF PUBLIC HOUSES!

They are full of losers and mean, tight-fisted old spinsters and fools who nobody thinks very much of,the sort of person you would go to a "bachelor's party" alongside.

A "bachelors party"?

A cock-fight!

Clergymen and public houses

It is a sign that there is a porter-belly in their midst,a midnight-tippler in the parochial house or a badly-run parish and a priest in his declining or senile years when clergy in any jurisdiction, territory or dominion are pictured together.in a public house. It means,in the last-mentioned instance that the parish priest is currently receiving treatment for alcohol-related problems. This recognizance is known as a testimonium pauperitatis. (That was something Karl Marx did not realise when he stumbled on the phrase in a piece of hand-me-down literature he picked from a library shelf).

When the clergy appear together in any alcohol-linked picture, don't get give them any more money. It will simply be used to worsen addictions of theirs and prevent them joining a group such as Alcohol Aware in Northern Ireland.

Publicans linked to politicians everywhere in Irish circles  are the meanest,tight-fisted people who you will ever meet. They are, wherever you find them, involved in avoidable deaths and accidents on the road in association with employers, police and soldiers.

They are people who like to draw others into a network of intrigue.

Why,so?

As the Bible indicates, their concerns are purely temporal. They are misery-guts who can not raise their head above the parapet, frigid with anticipation and afraid of their games with police being publicised.

The publican and his henchmen always appear at their chosen time of year to get themselves covered in lieu of home deliveries of alcohol for another year or protection from creditors and bankruptcy.

In Enniskillen this occurs around the 12th of July when Orangemen and police run unrestrained through the town.

Do not give a bloodsucker such as a publican any encouragement and keep your dealings a closely guarded secret from him. His barmen or he will use his contacts to have you beaten up or thrown out of your modest accomodation to whet the appetite of a rich git like Eaman Corrigan or Paul Hughes, someone depriving the needy and sick of the widow's mite and stealing from the poor.
