Modern times
Judaism in all its manifestations including its materialism and the financing of large-scale industrial undertakings is based on big finance,random expropriation and capitalist moneymaking.
Freemasonry? Its role in moneymaking?
Marx had little money in his early years of marriage. Later, having joined the Freemasons he moved to a well-heeled, rich area of London,Hampstead.
He was despite his professed opposition to capitalism a materialist.
The United States?
In the US,Judaism is closely associated with materialism. The US is the epitome of Jewish materialism. That is not to say that other countries can live in splendid isolation from the world of money in our times.
We cannot do so. The lesson of the Irish diplomacy of 1988 is that all parts can only be understood as part of a whole.
However,many societies have survived for long periods without money exchange and the Soviet Union survived by barter at a reciprocal level with the West until 1991.
