The enduring message of the Catholic and Salvationist tradition is that of Jesus of Nazareth,"It is not what you say that matters but what you do!" That manifestation of charity is what confronts greed. Charity's highest manifestation in the world is the British Welfare State and the Irish Catholic Church though many in the Salvation Army do even more to help he poor. In Britain,they do more than the Government of the day for the poor and feeble.
