If memory,casting back over forty four years,serves me right there are more than seven days in the Roman week and we could well assume that Jesus was betrayed on a Monday or Tuesday and the ' meeting in the Garden' was on a Wednesday evening in front of others and in a place of rest..why so? The Bible was not written down until the Middle Ages in its entirety and the seven day week was superimposed on the Roman calendar.

It is noticeable here and very important to realise that the Temple priests were not the Roman authorities. Why,so?

Because this is today the key to understanding murderous betrayal. Namely,it was a religious body which put up the money to have Judas betray Jesus. Likewise the dog-in-the-manger types in our times,those men of straw,operate independently of the state.

I repeat,the church authorities of the day put up the money to have Jesus killed. Therefore,give no money to the "Chief Priest' in the Pope's Collection in August or the Catholic Church will use it to have the prophets of our day killed.

We have seen these sterile old nuisances in the Vatican invest £300m.+ in luxury apartments in Chelsea and that money was purloined from the poor of the world for good works by whingeing, whining old women in cassocks. 

Don't be fooled. Go to Mass by all means but give the Pope's Collection in August not as much as one red penny. Take out a subscription to some obscure left-wing publication instead and read about what the people of the chasuble ignore. They are not interested in the Gospel message of Peace and Charity,their concerns are earthly not from God.

The materialist doctrine. New thinking ànd clear thinking. Epicurean or Stoic?

It is wise never to embrace materialism completely if you do not want to be associated with Marxism and British Judaism.Nevertheless in our times we have to bear in mind that the materialist doctrine sees the person as a product of his interactions with his material conditions and a mere speck in the universe. The materialist doctrine sees modern man as caught up in a world alien to and hostile with himself.

Man's political insignificance and social helplessness in the face of capitalism when acting on his own,is glaring.

People often take refuge in escapist pursuits such as the internet and social media as a form of diversion from man's lowly position in the eyes of the economic system and his environment.

Marx's starting point was Hegelian philosophy and the Hegelian  phenomenology of the spirit is not inimical or hostile to attributing a meaningful existence to oneself.

I say that only a fool or worldly-blind charlatan would ignore the importance of material gifts to spiritual wellbeing.

The doctrine of materialism is closely associated with Karl Marx and the school of thought which he founded, Marxism.

His great companion was Friedrich Engels who was based in Manchester.Many reformed clergymen were drawn to materialism in England's teeming slums and in the thriving industrial hub of Manchester when Engels lived there in the 1850's. The type of materialism adored and worshipped by temporal beings is what has long been regarded by Catholic priests and scholars in Britain as Marxist gluttony. Gluttony is incompatible with the way of life preached by the followers of Jesus (see Acts). In ancient times Epicureanism was opposed to the prevalent stoicism.

Stoicism is the proper path to understanding the early Christian enlightenment. 

In English terms,materialism is historically associated with Capitalism and Progress and central to having Common Sense.That is the recent past. In our times the political belief in inalienable rights prevails. One way or another for the thinking person,the enduring credo of human rights should prevail over the whimsies of world leaders and Anglo-Saxon materialists. The thinking person believes that the rights agenda trumps the magnificent isolation of the still active small groups of Marxists and Stalinists and Common Sense New Englanders.

Come at it as you will,both human rights thinking at a political level and Christian stoicism were sadly absent throughout history until the clash of German state cartels which fell largely under capitalist ownership and Stalinism. That struggle once again opened up the Pandora's Box of political progress,a synthesis of  Christian civility and rude materialism.

Did Jesus not in the Parable of the Disobedient Servant sanction lodging a talent in a bank and gaining "interest on it"...

In terms of " going surety for someone else's debts"(Ecclesiastes) which the Old Testament book describes as something " only a fool would  do". How do we evaluate that with the Parable of the Good Samaritan where the outcast tells the innkeeper,"Take good care of him and when I am back this way,I shall pay you the balance" not as glaring a contradiction perhaps as interest-bearing capital,but still somewhat at odds with not going surety for someone else's debts...

Perhaps,if we understand the duty to be an assiduous guardian of what does not belong to us leavened with what Pope Francis calls the Seven Works of Mercy,sadly absent from the doctrines of the " by-faith-alone" outfits and there are at least 30 000 of those but sometimes evident  in their approach to others and yet often,all so often,and so sadly absent from the lives of those who make constant repetitive allusion to "do works of kindness and treat others charitably". Such a sad and bitter reflection on the Catholic Church and,above all,on its earthly clergy and the many "worthies" attracted to it who should be told,sternly and in the most strident tones,"Away from me,I do not know you..." regardless of their pious imprecations and pleas for understanding and eternal life. These people do not heed the call of the poor and dehumanised and like the Rich Man whose door Lazarus suffered by  are only cognisant of the eternal ruin they have brought on themselves when it is too late to consider the harm they have caused or their poverty of good works.

..who then is "destined to be saved and who is destined to be lost" (and to have no need of central heating where he is bound)...WE DO NOT KNOW from earthly standards and God alone knows that..

something patriots and Provos find repulsive...but I digress,the point of the matter being that St Paul called on people to "get the credit for their good works" whereas Jesus scorns "the hypocrites who wear long robes and philacteries and like to be greeted with respect in the market place"-he tells people to "go into their private room and pray"-and he relates the Parable of The Poor Widow who puts one little copper coin worth two pennies in the Temple Treasury whereas the Rich Man puts in 10% of his (ill-gotten) gains but he who walked the hills of Galilee and preached in the Decapolis and mixed with tax-collectors,sinners and publicans and scribes,dwarves and loose women and Nicodemus the Pharisee says that "this was all she had to live on whereas the Wealthy Hypocrite gave from what he had left over" and to clinch the "deal", Jesus impeaches us to " go into our private room and pray"....

...How should we pray?..Pray the Our Father and when in a church,"Stand at the back" and let the hypocrites go to the front, something the political tub-thumpers will always do...Remember the lesson of the Humble Sinner who stands at the back of the church and mutters quietly to himself,"Lord,have mercy on me a sinner", whereas the Pharisee proudly marches to the front to thank God for all his blessings and excoriate the penitent,"Thank you,God,for not making me like this miserable sinner behind me" and it should be remembered that the Pharisees were lay preachers who had other occupations.

The church's sponsorship of statism has led to centuries of war and terror and many priests in alliance with doctors and police have been involved in illegal arrests,unllawful imprisonments in psychiatric hospitals and countless murders despite their high-sounding phrases and false charm....they are universally foul,greedy,useless people who do not mean what they say and are intent on serious harm and dire abuse and political censorship, something the English woke up to centuries ago but the Irish have only realised in recent years...put the clergy out of the schools at your peril but reserve judgement on every last one of them from the highest to the lowest since they have the capacity to do you great harm and many of them are PAID POLICE INFORMERS and doppelgangers for other people in the community you live in...these days, they rarely leave their big houses for fear of being tarred and feathered....
